This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones we use on locationpro.es, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, or understand how the site is used.

2. Cookies we use

Location Pro uses a minimal set of cookies, focused on making the service work:

Essential cookies (required)

lp_session — Keeps you logged in after you sign in or register. It is an httpOnly cookie (not accessible to page scripts), sent only over HTTPS in production, and expires after a period of inactivity or when you sign out. Duration: up to 30 days while the session is valid. Provider: Location Pro (first party).

Without this cookie, you cannot stay signed in and access the protected tools. It is strictly necessary for the service you request and does not require consent under EU ePrivacy rules for essential cookies.

3. Cookies we do not use (currently)

We do not currently set:

Advertising or tracking cookies
Social media cookies
Analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics)

If we introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before setting them.

4. Third-party content

Some pages load resources from third parties that may set their own cookies, for example:

Google Fonts — typography delivery
jsDelivr / unpkg — open-source libraries (e.g. icons, map tools in certain apps)
Map tile providers — when using the Map Viewer (e.g. CARTO / OpenStreetMap data)

We do not control these third-party cookies. Please refer to the respective providers’ privacy and cookie policies for more information.

5. Local storage in your browser

In addition to cookies, some tools store your project data in your browser’s localStorage (e.g. saved location lists). This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers as account-synced content in the current version of the service. You can clear it via your browser settings or by removing saved projects in the app.

6. How to manage cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking the session cookie will prevent you from staying logged in. Instructions vary by browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge); check your browser’s help section for “cookies”.
